These two 22 story residential towers, sited in the heart of San Diego´s waterfront downtown redevelopment area, have built their design rationale from the site history and current day context. The interiors reinforce and extend the architectural concepts.
The architectural concept of a grid overlaying a sinuous, curvilinear base extends into the furniture layouts, furniture forms and masses, and to the interior architectural grillework.

A palette of materials and colors were developed to recall the sunny, indoor/outdoor lifestyle of the mild San Diego climate. Fresh colors such as a deep sunny gold, and soft aqua and terra cotta which are used as Italian art plaster walls, upholsteries, area rugs and art works
