| The chaplain of the CPMC Pacific Campus charged the designers with a goal of creating a non-denominational chapel from a left-over room. The design concept was able to take advantage of the height and volume of the space to create a sense of two spaces; a small vestibule that leads into a serene, inner sanctum.
Because the access to natural light was minimal, the designers took advantage of unique lighting solutions such as indirect wall washers and hidden lighting behind translucent panels. The artistic focus of the chapel is an elegant stained glass/fountain that splashes softly and promotes a sense of relief from the tensions outside the room |
