Apple elected to take over a completed facility that had been abandoned minutes before scheduled completion by the original developer. Apple challenged the design team to reuse everything, from the raised computer flooring to all the systems furniture.

By reconfiguring the grid of the flooring, the designers created a skewed grid, responsive to a new angled conference core added to the center of the building. The resultant design surprises and refreshes a dull existing facility to the point of delight.
